Friend of Foster Kids
Friends of Foster Kids (FOFK) is a non-profit organization that started in Macomb County back in 2008. Their goal is to give foster kids in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne counties a special Christmas. I'm excited to share that Bag of Joy began partnering with FOFK in 2019 when I was in 5th grade
Project Okurase
Project Okurase is a non-profit NGO based in the rural village of Okurase, Ghana. They focus on helping women and orphans. I was in 8th grade when I met the founder, Dr. Cynthia Swenson, and was so inspired by her work that I wanted to get involved. In 2023, Bag of Joy started fundraising to get school supplies for students at Nkabom Sundrops Montessori.
