Empowering students in Ghana through education and meals
Project Okurase is a nonprofit based in Charleston, South Carolina, that supports children in the rural village of Okurase, Ghana. Many students walk miles to school and rely on daily hot meals for nourishment.
Since 2024, Bag of Joy has partnered with Project Okurase to help fund education and provide meals for students at Nkabom Sundrops Montessori. In 2025–2026, our goal is to help bring reliable internet to the school — connecting students to the world beyond their village.
