Our Global Partner: Project Okurase
Supporting students in Ghana through education, meals, and access
Project Okurase is a nonprofit based in Charleston, South Carolina, that supports children in the rural village of Okurase, Ghana. Many students walk long distances to school and rely on daily hot meals for nourishment and the opportunity to learn.
Since 2024, Bag of Joy has partnered with Project Okurase to support education and provide meals for students at Nkabom Sundrops Montessori. In 2026–2027, our focus is to help bring reliable internet access to the school—connecting students to learning resources beyond their village. While students have been donated laptops, internet access is the missing link.

How to Give Globally
Two easy ways to make a lasting impact
You can support students in Ghana through Bag of Joy’s partnership with Project Okurase. Choose how you’d like to give—both help expand access to education and learning.
• Educate a Child: Help fund a student’s education for a year and support their ability to learn and grow.
• Support Internet Access: Be part of our 2026–2027 goal to bring reliable internet to Nkabom Sundrops Montessori, helping students fully use existing learning tools.
