What This Year Was About
Crafting Totes That Carry More Than Just Things
This year, I used my crafting skills and creativity to give globally. I asked for a Cricut for Christmas, and felt so lucky to get one. With it, I designed and made handcrafted totes, each one symbolizing the hopes and dreams every child carries—just like the name Bag of Joy.

How I Took Action
Using My Hands and Heart to Make a Difference
I created and sold my custom totes at an event, with all the money going toward supporting a student in Ghana. Each tote I made reminded me that giving doesn’t always start with a big idea—sometimes it starts with a simple bag and a big heart.

Crafting for a Cause Felt Deeply Personal
Giving globally felt more meaningful this year because I used my own hands to make it happen. By selling totes I designed, I helped support education and meals for a student in Ghana through Project Okurase. Knowing that each bag I made could help carry a child’s future made it truly special.

My JoyStory
Joy that travels farther than miles.
When I learned I could support both Florence and Barikasu, I felt something unforgettable — like joy was stretching from my community all the way to Ghana.
It showed me how something handmade, shared, and sold here can brighten a child’s day across the world.
“Every child deserves a moment of joy.”
