YEAR 7 — 2025
What I Did:
Selling Authentic African Handicrafts
Local Partner:
Project Okurase

What This Year Was About
Using creativity and cultural connection to support education in Ghana.
In 2025, I focused on selling authentic African fans and handicrafts from Okurase through local businesses, events, and community gatherings. All of the profit from these sales went directly to Project Okurase.

How I Took Action
Sharing the story behind each item — and raising support one sale at a time.
As I set up tables at fairs and events, I shared the meaning behind the handcrafted items and how the sales would support students at Nkabom Montessori School.
Every purchase contributed to something bigger — and people loved knowing that.
Giving Back to Our Global Partner:
Project Okurase
Fully supporting the education and meals of two students.
Through these sales, I was able to support two students this year:
-
Florence — whom I began supporting in 2024
-
Barikasu — added this year
Both students receive a full year of education and school-day meals because of the funds from the handicrafts.

My JoyStory
Joy that travels farther than miles.
When I learned I could support both Florence and Barikasu, I felt something unforgettable — like joy was stretching from my community all the way to Ghana.
It showed me how something handmade, shared, and sold here can brighten a child’s day across the world.
“Every child deserves a moment of joy.”
