What This Year Was About
Helping Families During COVID
During the COVID year in 6th grade, we were doing school from home, and a lot of parents in my neighborhood needed help.
So I started my babysitting business, Maahi’s Munchkins, to help out.
I helped little kids with reading, played games with them, and did fun art projects to keep them engaged while their parents worked.

How I Took Action
Turning Babysitting Earnings Into Joy
I saved the money I earned from babysitting and used it to help kids in foster care.
That year, Friends of Foster Kids had a big list of board games they needed, so I planned out my budget and made a shopping list before heading to the store.
I wanted to make sure I could buy as many fun games as possible.

FOFK needed board games this year, and since I love board games, I was so excited to pick them out.
I searched for the best deals and chose games I thought other kids would enjoy just as much as I do.
Then I packed everything up and delivered the gifts to Ms. Theresa Toia at Friends of Foster Kids.

My JoyStory
The Feeling That Helped Me Through a Hard Year
When I delivered the board games, I felt something really strong inside. Even though everything was weird because of COVID, helping someone else made me feel better and gave me a happy feeling I didn’t feel a lot that year.
I kept thinking about it even after I got home, and it made me want to help again.
It showed me that even in a hard year, I could still make someone else smile.
This year I am shopping for Board Games!
Hoping that these games spread a ton of joy
