What This Year Was About
Using my own earnings to help kids here at home.

In 2025, I kept working my part-time job at the learning center. As I took on more responsibilities, I decided that all the money I earned from my job would go directly toward helping Friends of Foster Kids, the local nonprofit I’ve supported since 5th grade.

How I Took Action
Earning, planning, shopping — and giving intentionally.

I saved a portion of every paycheck and created a budget based on the items on the FOFK wishlist. I shopped for toys, art supplies, and personal items that would be exciting and meaningful for kids receiving holiday gifts.
I made sure every dollar had a purpose.

Giving Back to Our Local Partner:
Friends of Foster Kids
Delivering gifts made possible by my own hard work.

Once everything was packed and ready to go, I delivered the gifts to FOFK. This year felt especially meaningful because the gifts came straight from my own earned income.

Seeing how the items would be used reminded me that even small paychecks can create a big impact.

My JoyStory

The feeling of giving something I worked for.

Dropping off the gifts felt different this year — in the best way. Knowing I earned the money myself made the moment feel stronger, almost like the joy doubled.

It reminded me why I love giving back: “Giving is the best feeling in the world.”
